Categories can be used to keep clients' Matters organized in related groups, making it easier for everyone to find what they're looking for.
Matter Categories currently provided by Rally:
- All Matters
- Goods & Service Providers
- Human Resources
- Intellectual Property
- Minute Book
Setting Default Matter Categories for your Templates
When you are editing your templates, you will see an option for Default Categories. Selecting 'Add Category' will display a list of pre-defined options.
When you add a Default Category to a template, any of your clients that generate a matter with it will have the matter categorized accordingly in their Matters section.
Note: You can add multiple categories to each template.
Applying Matter Categories from the Matter Workspace
When viewing a Matter, you will see an option to add a category for that Matter.
Click 'Add Category' and the categories that are applicable for the matter.
To view Matters sorted by categories for each client, select the Clients tab at the top of the page to view a client's dashboard and select Matters. On the left, the categories will be displayed. Select a category to view all related Matters.
